Where do I go for Treatment?

Treatment is typically undertaken in hospital, most often in gastroenterology, infectious disease and hepatitis units across the UK. However, some treatment is beginning to happen in the community through GP surgeries although it is still relatively uncommon for now.

Hep C Treatment - Who will i meet?

Normally you will be looked after by a consultant and a specialist nurse.

You will normally see the consultant at the beginning of treatment and then be seen by the specialist nurse during your treatment. Both your consultant and your specialist nurse are an invaluable source of help and information and many will be happy for you to ring them between appointments with any queries that you might have.
