Marc Simpson

"I have been employed in addiction services/rehab in the city for the past 3 years and during this time I have supported many clients who have had Hepatitis C. I now hope to support and help people with Hepatitis C as well as raise awareness and reduce the stigma attached to the virus"

Marc joins Alison and Sharon to complete the C Plus team. We would also like to announce that after seven years of working with us (and previously Capital C) Julia Reid (Support Worker) has retired from C Plus. We would like to wish Julia all the best for her retirement.

Service User Consultation

C Plus are currently undertaking a comprehensive consultation with service users on behalf of NHS Lothian.  We are currently consulting service users of nine drug and alcohol agencies throughout Edinburgh and the Lothian's. The consultation focuses on service user's knowledge, experience and attitudes towards Hepatitis C; as well as Hep C testing, treatment and services. The consultation will also gather data on the type and effectiveness of information available to service users about Hepatitis C and how to improve Hepatitis C services to meet the needs of clients. Each consultation lasts between 5 - 10 minutes and service users receive a £10 voucher for participating.

It is hoped that the consultations will be completed and results forwarded to NHS Lothian by the end of April 2010.
